3D and Motion

my second life

I started dabbling in 3D software back in 2000 (3D Studio Max R3). Since then, it stayed a hobby for the most part. Every now and then I was able to create commercial work. I even have a diploma in Animation, since this was always something I wanted to learn, to enhance my 3D art with motion. It wasn't to become an animator really. Below you can see a small excerpt of my 3D journey.

Software I know well

Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Modo, After Effects. Redshift, X-Particles

I made everything in Blender, except a few props that were modeled by my co-worker. Rendered with EEVEE, the real-time renderer. Full video here

This was a tough one to render, because of the dark environment and not enough light. But it was worth it. It's a mix of Cinema 4D with Redshift and After Effects. Full video here

A test animation I made years ago, after watching Episode VII trailer for the 23942th time. Houdini, Cinema 4D and Cycles 4D.

10 years ago I released a game called INBA for iOS and this was the promo video I made for it. Done in Modo and After Effects.

My demo reel from 2012. Didn't really animate much since then, but I'm happy I learned it and the principles come in handy, even in After Effects.
